Correctional Institution for Women: For the incarcerated, the holiday season often goes by without them hearing a word from their families or receiving any gifts from anyone.
As they imagine themselves joining festive celebrations that only happen outside their cells, feelings of loneliness and the lack of hope are amplified, as if the struggles they face on a normal day are not enough.
That is why we’re beyond grateful to visit CIW again to deliver food, supplies, and gifts for the inmates.
“For the Lord hears the needy and does not despise his own people who are prisoners.” (Psalm 69:33)
