JFM Mobilizes Earthquake Relief Efforts in General Santos City

On June 8, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake devastated communities in Sarangani and General Santos, collapsing buildings, displacing families, and shaking the region to its core. It hit on the first morning of the new school year. Authorities continue to assess the full impact of the disaster as affected families begin the difficult process of recovery.

In response, JFM’s Mindanao Team is mobilizing relief efforts in General Santos City and affected communities.

As followers of Christ, we are called to carry one another’s burdens and to love not only with words, but with action. We desire to bring relief supplies, encouragement, and the hope of the Gospel to families facing fear and uncertainty in the aftermath of this disaster.
