Several families in Brgy. Rosemarie Lane were affected by a fire that took away many of their belongings and disrupted their sense of home and safety last month. Among those affected were children who lost toys, personal belongings, and other things they treasured.
What We Did
During the outreach, we:
- Distributed bread, drinks, snacks, and treats to the children
- Spent time with the children through games and activities
- Shared a Bible message about Samson and finding strength in God
- Encouraged the children and families through prayer and fellowship
One of the verses we shared was:
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1 ESV
The afternoon was filled with smiles, laughter, and simple moments of joy. While we could not replace everything that was lost, we were grateful for the opportunity to show these children that their community cares and that God has not forgotten them.
